What's the best thing about today?
I met up with my oldest friend's family who happened to be living in the Eastern Cape not far from where I live in Grahamstown. After losing touch with them some years ago I did a search on Facebook and I struck gold with their daughter Natasha who had just signed up at the insistence of her colleagues. From there is was a simple matter of exchanging contact details and arranging to meet up.
While I was there my friend's parents told me all about the past three years they spent in Mali, north Africa and I told them about my time in Taiwan. We had many tales to share.
Do you think real love can last throughout any distance, or will long distance end most relationships?

Yes, as long as the separation is not indefinite. There needs to be actual dates about when and where you will get together with your significant other and there needs to be a plan about when and where you will get together permanently. I also think that if it gets too tough in the interim, someone has to compromise and move.
What celebrity do you most often get told you resemble?

In Taiwan and Japan people often told me that I look like Nicholas Cage. At first I was really surprised and flattered, but I guess most foreigners look alike to them and with my similarly receding hairline I suppose I was virtually his clone over there. Nancy insists that there really is an uncanny likeness but I am doubtful because in South Africa no one has ever said I look like Nicholas Cage. It would be nice if they did though because I am quite a fan of his. He has done some god-awful movies like Face-Off, but the good ones like Wild At Heart and Leaving Las Vegas easily make up for them.
